Ted Douglas is a Managing Director of the Global Markets Group at IHS Markit. Ted is focused on Product Innovation and Strategy. He shares a passion to bring innovation to the financial markets. Ted is a financial services professional with 25+ years of experience across trading, structuring, and managing investments for the world’s largest institutions. Prior to joining IHS Markit, Ted was a Principal with World Tree Technologies where he focused on fintech solutions related to data, autonomy, and analytics.

Earlier in his career, Ted served as President and CIO to Pioneer Advisors (acquired) as an early entrant into the autonomous AI, data driven, factor-based investment portfolios creating the ‘diverseFOLIOS’ ETF strategies that achieved Top 10 global performance ranking. Prior, Ted served as President of KOCH Global Capital as head of investment selection, asset management and operations. While with KOCH Ted also headed several large-scale financial service operations including a $30+ billion off-shore insurance portfolio, a ‘triple-A’ rated derivatives products entity, and $7.5 billion investment management firm.

Ted’s career also includes experience with BNP Paribas as Co-Head of Rates, Derivatives and Structuring in DCM. And before that with State Street as Managing Director, Head of Fixed Income (overseeing Debt Capital Markets, Structuring and Syndication). Ted started his career with BTco/Deutschebank as a bond trader. Over his career, Ted has served on several boards (start-ups, larger established, and global entities). He holds a B.S. in economics and finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University
